Global Relay Intelligence & Practice quoted partner Tama Kudman in its coverage of the DoJ’s recent charging of 450 defendants, including doctors and nurse practitioners across 45 states, in connection with an alleged
healthcare fraud spanning Medicaid and hospice care. The DoJ described this as the largest federal and state multi-agency effort in history to combat healthcare fraud.
Tama Kudman noted, “This represents a continuation of the DOJ‘s focus on healthcare fraud from previous administrations. And while this is most certainly a significant operation, many of the arrests are the result of investigations across the country that have been going on for years.
