Liz Chamulak is Senior Counsel at Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner LLP and has focused her practice on Wills, Trusts, and Estates for more than three decades. She is the Chair of the Firm’s Trusts and Estates Department.
Liz counsels individuals and families with estate planning directed at long term family goals. She aims to educate and guide clients on how assets are structured, transferred, and preserved across generations.
Liz works closely with clients to shape estate plans that respond to changing family circumstances, new tax considerations, and evolving legal requirements. She prepares and administers estate planning documents and advises clients on estate, gift, and income tax issues, including matters involving federal and state tax authorities. Her approach emphasizes foresight, continuity, and stewardship. With Liz’s help, clients have thoughtful arrangements in place that will endure and adapt as intended.
In addition to advising clients on estate planning, Liz’s work is also heavily concentrated in trust and estate administration involving real estate, securities, family businesses, and personal property. She regularly represents individuals and corporate fiduciaries in probate and accounting proceedings and has extensive experience before the Surrogate’s Courts of New York and New Jersey. She is closely familiar with the procedural and practical details that shape how estates are administered and how plans hold up over time.
Recognizing that discussing estate planning is not an easy topic for most, Liz’s goal in her practice is to assist clients with approachability, expertise and consideration.
